Empire Comics Fest 2021: 11-13-2021

We had our very first in-person, tabled, show assisting ECF 2 by facilitating witnessed signatures for the legendary Jim Shooter. It’s exciting to be included in the rich history of the Rochester comic book crowd and also to participate in a true “old school comic show.” No cosplay, movies, random sci-fi.. comics.

As a person who gripes about COMIC cons having too many things with movies and less with COMICS, this show was an absolute blast. Yes, I love hunting for signatures. I’m used to the Crain, Parrillo, Liefeld lines and for this one, I was extremely excited for Joe Sinnott, Larry Hama and Ron Wilson! I got to chat with Al Milgrom, too, who was fascinating. The cool thing is that this guy wore SO many hats at Marvel. I handed him 3 books - One, he was an editor, the others were inks and pencils! Searching my collection for his...
